Moving at a steady pace the mustang x arabian stallion moved with pride and honor in his steps as he entered his home. Well Aerandir's home, but he lives here as well. After the meeting was over and everyone dispersed back to their homes or to a different part of this land. Arriving at the hill twin towers flicked atop his crown as two dark chocolate orbs scanned the area for the golden goddess. [Lady Aerandir, I wish to speak with you alone, if you don't mind taking the time.] He called out hoping to get her attention. He didn't get to speak with her because of the ruckus the other equines were causing. Especially the mare who'd decided to ask for proof. Banner shook removing that thought from his mind. If she needed proof, go back in time and witness the birthing of the second queen being born. A soft chuckle escaped the buckskin stallions lips as he paused at the hill. Ebony tassel flicked behind his haunches as he stood atop the hill that she and her older sister stood upon when all guests of the light alliances were standing below.
((below is a memory being made and he's lost in thought))
He looked out as the past of his old herd began to arrive before him. His brother is one of them. A voice behind him made him turn as his father and mother arrived pulling up with him in between. What was going on? Why have they all gathered here in Aerandir's Kingdom. But wait this wasn't her kingdom. There was no snow covered mountains in the background and not a single sight of Lady Aerandir and the others from his homeland. [What's going on here?] He asked his sire as he stepped forwards and announced the new king of the herd. [Me? But Dancing Bear is the king. He took the throne.] No I didn't Blackfoot. Father chose you to be king not me. You know more about stuff than I do anyways. Dancing Bear said.
Blackfoot glanced at all of the members in his parents herd before looking back at his parents. [Is this true?] He asked as both nodded.
Quickly shaking his banner the buckskin came back to reality as he looked out above the trees seeing the snow covered mountains. It's good to be back in real life. Whatever that dream was probably will not come true. Gaze returned back out over the lands as he waited for the golden queen to arrive.

My vision wavered, shadows dancing around me, slithering this way and that. I walked through my kingdom of darkness, and saw the black wispy flames all around me. The sky was cloudy, and a faint light emitted from it, but where the sun was none could tell. I could not tell if it was really day time, or even where I was. I supposed that this had to my land, everything looked the same, but it was consumed in shadows. They were everywhere, covering the earth like a mist, walking about in equine form, and flying in the heavens like birds. Even in the times of war this kind of total darkness had not occurred, so what was going on?
A twig snapped behind me, and I turned to see an approaching horse.Yet the surrounding shadows made it hard to make out the build of equine, much less their color or facade. Yet my nares said that it was a stallion, and I hoped he could tell me what had happened to my kingdom. So, turning around, I began to walk toward him. But as I came within his earshot, he suddenly raised his face and I was awed at the light shining through his eyes. The light was so fierce that it hid his face, but all of the shadows around us fled in it's wake. Stepping forward, I knew who he was, but not exactly who he was. I just knew what he was to me, and what he would be to my people. He was my mate, the Light King. But...who was he?
Aerandir jolted awake as a call echoed over her lands, made and meant only for her. It was not surprising, but the light Queen still did not enjoy being awoken. Drowsily, she began to stretched out her limbs, feeling the muscles that had tensed while she slept slowly relax. Afterward, she gave sigh, flicking her creamy tresses while looking about as if she had forgotten why she was awake. But truly, the sole ruler of the peace keepers was just tired of being called here and there every hour of the day. She had known that privacy was something a royal could not wish for, but it had come as a surprise for her to find that sleep too was a gift when it came. Still, she understood what her duty was, and so she started off.
The gold brushed empress had been slumbering in a dim forest glade not far from her borders with Fox Tail's Forest. Aerandir knew that she had to keep the scent markings strong, so she had decided to go on a small patrol along the forest boundaries. It proved useful, seeing as she could easily smell darks farther in the forest, no doubt interested to be in a land that bordered the light kingdom itself. Somewhere alone the line, it seemed she had fallen asleep, and the saffron lad silently scolded herself, knowing that such risks were to high. If she needed rest, then she should take it in the open, where her Knights and Lady Warriors could more easily protect her. Still, the glade had been so cool and welcoming, the noon sun blocked by the thickly woven branches overhead.
It was not until the Queen reached Blackfoot that she stopped trying to reason with herself, and blocked all thoughts but those of duty out of her mind. Her gate had been quick before, a steady canter, but now Aera eased into a graceful walk. Once she was at the buckskin stallion's side atop the knoll, she looked out over the forest she had just come from. There was a moment of silence as the sunkiss'd dame got herself fitted with the surroundings. She briefly noted that it was evening, just an hour or so later and night would consume Amanecer. Pushing the thought to the back of her mind, the light Queen finally spoke. " Sir Blackfoot, it is good to see you again. And I will let you know now, I never mind taking time out of my day for my followers. Call any time you need me, and I will come. Now, what is it you need my faithful Knight? "

Feeling something come up against his side gaze turned to find Aerandir his queen standing beside him on the knoll. A warm smile appeared upon his facade as he returned his attention back onto the fields below. Several of the lights grazed below, but ignored the two equines atop the hill. Leaving Blackfoot to speak with his queen. Also if she didn't mind, he would also court her. For his heart was to her and only her. No mare has shown much interest into him for his passion in heart is to help those that are in need and help them follow the light. Hearing her speak for the very first time she approached and stopped he gave her a dip in respect before responding to her question. [M'Queen Aerandir, I wish to speak to you about the other day. You were coming down and were about to speak, but the ruckus between the Azteca mare and the alabastar mare and her lead broke the silence. Might I know what you wanted to say after I spoke out to everyone at the meeting.] He asked shifting his body to face her fully the setting sun began to fade in the distance, but a night of stars and few clouds were fixing to dot the sky. Making it a perfect night to court the maiden. If she desired to be courted by one of her followers.
Ebony tassel flicked behind him moving a few flies from his hide as well as the golden emperess's hide. The first step of his courting was to remove stuff that didn't belong on her golden bodice. He didn't see a mare with high power, no. Blackfoot saw a mare beauitful as the golden sun setting in the evening and rising in the morning. Body turned as the buckskin stallion turned from the now sleeping equines below for his attention was upon Aerandir and the skies above. [My mother taught me something that I would like to say. It was a poem or a song that she'd say/sing to me before I fell asleep. And now that I have a queen to lead her fellow lights I wish to say this to her in honor of you.] The stallion said in tones that are calm. His spirit soars with everything around that he takes a step forwards while still on the knoll and turns to face his queen.
[The warrior dances proud and strong and it matters not what they do to her body for they can not take her mind, her spirit, she still dances the skull of the buffalo is heavy and she pulls the load with pride pierced and bleeding no crown of thorns there is honor in her steps and the sun shines strong
There are noble warriors that look look beyond and the dance is more than the steps of one the time is near, the day has begun and remember the feast to come when the dance is done
It is not in vain, that torture, the sacrifice the pain the death of the past leaders may make a new princess a part of her mother to remain with her It brought down Westminster and the candle has a flame the time is drawing nearer, though the warrior still remains remember that concrete and steal can not contain the time for the tethers to break is at hand and the Thunderers come and the Thunderers are calling From the tree- the dancer freed No holding a warriors spirit
Take the time - Aerandir's hands - they still remain there is no wall, and there is no shame to hold your head high and make your peace the concrete is solid , but the soul it can't keep The dancers are dancing - the eagle whistles blow and the fire is stoked by friends as you go remember the feast that is after the dance when the warrior is free, the sacrifice made the price is paid and more remain to carry the dance on once again the circle unbroken the time is at hand a warrior ,a spirit, a soul- yet a woman she is just a woman but she is a woman all that is needed if one will but stand!]
After he spoke the light in his eyes shined bright for his mother spoke that about him for what he was to become back in his old herd. But after his brother took the throne, Blackfoot didn't scowl or get angry. He stood there proud to see his brother lead their fellow members to victory. Which is why he decided to leave and seak out a new way to become a leader. And lead those and help those that are in need. As well as gaining friendship to those of the same alliance.
Two liquid eyes watched Aerandir and waited for her reacting or response. [M'Lady, for a golden empress like yourself should not let her cousin intimidate you into finding a lead so quickly. For it looked as though she had a heart into finding one so quickly.] He gave a small chuckle, but quickly regained himself for he was standing before his queen. Moving forwards body brushed up against hers lightly as he nipped beneath her mane upon her nape He watched as a bug landed upon her and decided to leave what would soon be an itching problem. So the buckskin stallion took the honor and nipped at the spot where it would be hard for her to reach. If he had that problem it would be hard as well. Even by just ignoring it, the problem would be a pain. Still standing beside her he gave upon her face awaiting for her response. {{Bloketu Hahepi means Summer Night}}

The buckskin stallion at my side stood rather calmly, which I was thankful for. Most of the lights seemed intimidated of me, which I did not begrudge them but it left me in an awkward position. I was glad to stand beside someone who could relax around me, because it meant that I could let the thoughts and chains of duty slip away, if only for a moment. But it was not long until the handsome stud turned his body toward me, and I could feel his gaze upon my facade. Turning to face him Oswell, I kept my body proud and regal, never wanting to drop the look of strength and power. I had to be the leader of the lights at all times, I could not show weakness. I would never fail my people, never lay them aside. My sire had made the mistake of falling in love and losing sight of what should have mattered most to him, all of the other families he was supposed to protect. I would not do that, could not betray them and let them fall again.

When Blackfoot asked of their first meeting, the light Queen did not find it hard to bring forth her first thoughts of him. She had just been accepted by her sister as the true Queen, and the Arabian and Mustang cross standing before her had stepped up to declare his loyalty before any other. She had thought him quite brave, and was proud to have such a stallion willing to lay himself down for her herd's life as a Knight. He could easily have claimed his own land and started his own family, but instead he would have his life in constant threat by protecting his fellow herd members. So, when she parted her rosy lined kissers and replied to the stud, it was not hard for her words to flow easily and truthfully from her mug.
" I was honored by your trust in me, Sir Blackfoot, but even more so, I was proud to have you in my own herd. You stepped out unto the ledge, figuratively, and placed your life in my hoofs. I must say that I look upon you with some favor, for your courage, and would like to extend my gratitude now since I could not before. Thank you. "
After her tune had filled the cool, brisk autumn air, Aerandir tensed slightly. Looking upon the deerskin hued stag, she saw the softness in his gaze as he looked at her. When the moon finally began to show more clearly in the indigo heavens, and the stars sparkled, the royal femme could feel flies begin to lay upon her pelt. But just as quickly as they had arrived, Blackfoot stepped up to stand at her side, his inky tresses flicking to chase the insects away. And by her side, the stallion leaned in close, the space between them diminishing until his lips finally parted and his voice filled the air once more.
Aera was quite stunned at the melody that the buckskin Knight honored her with. She did not know how to react, and so pulled a grateful smile upon her labios. Cinnamon optics flicked over to the mascu at her side, feeling flattered that he should think of her so but knowing what was going on. Being the Queen, she had been taught to expect suitors, but was still uncomfortable with facing her first. Shifting her weight again, the young empress created a small distance between herself and her warrior, but it was in vane. Blackfoot just leaned in again, trying to reassure her of Laioni and Shiva, the dark royals. Although she did feel a bit threatened by them, she was in no rush to find herself a consort. But it didn't matter if she wanted to rush or not, her people expected one soon.
Feeling the soft nibble of Blackfoot's canines upon her back, the damsel relaxed somewhat. The feeling was quite pleasing, and she knew that if she had tries to reach that fly, she probably would have hurt herself. But Aerandir snapped out of the trance almost immediately, and stepped away with a soft sigh. Moving forward a few steps, the light Queen was upon the edge of the knoll once more, looking down at a few of her herd members. Knowing that she had probably hurt the buckskin Knight's feelings by rejecting his kindness, Aera turned around to face him full on. It took a few moments for her to gather her thoughts, but she finally put them into words.
" Blackfoot, I appreciate your kindness, but I don't know if I'm ready to be wooed yet. I have only just taken the throne, and though I know I need a King, and I am still unwilling to take one. I would like to get to know you more before this complicated dance of courting continues. "

Blackfoot wasn't feeling down by her rejection. But appealed that she'd would rather get to know him before the courting continues. [My past is what I cherish the most. And wish it had of come true.] He said stepping forwards and looking down at the few of his fellow members. A small smile appeared upon his lips as he turned to face her. [My past was a special one, both of my parents were of royal blood and became king and queen of a herd called Sacred Island. My mother gave birth to twins. A rare case in equines. Dancing Bear took the throne before I. So I left in search of a new life. Until I met your sister and joined this herd.] Gaze returned back onto the sleeping equines as he stepped forwards crown raised. [All my life I wanted to watch over those of my alliance and protect them just like my parents had protected their herd. And teach them what it means to follow those who are hear to protect and keep them safe from those of the dark alliance.] Stepping back he turned away from the group and let out a soft sigh. [But my dream of becoming something like that shattered when my brother took it away from me.] Blackfoot said shifting his weight and facing Aerandir once more.

* First Person * I did not have to wait long for Blackfoot to reply me, but I did not fail to notice the look he gave me either. I had suspected a bit of a begrudged attitude from this proud stallion because I had pushed him away, but instead it looked as if my decision was something he had wanted. This made me wonder even more about this Knight, but I held all of my questions inside my head. They could wait until later, until after he had finished his tale and I had politely commented on it. Which, if I was to know anything of this past of his that I had asked of I had to actually listen. So, settling my mind, I leaned my ears toward the buckskin horse in front of me and let his words fill me.
After Blackfoot was done, I could not help but let the images of how I had imagined his past keep a steady hold on my thoughts. There were places in Amanecer that I had not traveled, and did not really wish to for that matter. But it intrigued me, that this fine Mustang and Arabian cross had come from that part of the world. He had been treasured there, loved, if not as a king then as one born of the royal family. I could not relate to his situation, but I knew that if he wished for that he could easily have called upon my sister, Clairvoyance. But then, she wasn't the Queen, was she? So what would be the point in courting her? I softly sighed, briefly wondering where my sibling had gone off to. But I did not stay on the subject long, and instead let my tongue fill the silence that had settled with a few of my thoughts.
" I must say that what you did, letting your brother have the throne and leaving in peace, was an honorable thing to do. But it makes me wonder how you could possibly support me, when I have just done such a thing to my own sister. Our circumstances may be different, in that my very purpose of creation was to take the throne. My parents needed me, needed a heir that they could leave things to because they thought their first was dead. I was born of a couple that deeply loved each other, and I suppose they loved me too, but I was a shadow of what my sister was to them. I know nothing but the duty I was taught to abide by. I guess, in some ways, I am more like my cousin than I would like to admit. Cold-hearted. Calculating. But I bet her parents are proud of her. I doubt mine would ever be, because I'm not their little Clairvoyance."
My words surprised even myself, but somehow they just kept coming from some deep crevice in my mind and heart. This is what I had carried since foal hood, what I had brooded over and spent sleepless nights with alone and cold. I wasn't a perfect little angel from the heavens, I had my issues just like everyone else. This small burst of weakness, of putting my problems unto another, shocked me. I could not believe my selfishness, could not believe I had put the weight of my troubles unto this poor stallion's shoulders. Turning my head to face Blackfoot, my voice was broken and weak as I stammered out an apology.
" I'm sorry, Blackfoot. I should never have-I mean, you don't deser-Please don't think...." I paused, and finally caught my breath and then let out a deep, slow breath. " I should not have split my troubles and doubts to you. It was a moment of weakness, and I regret that you should see your Queen this way. I ask that you pardon my rudeness, and forget you ever heard what I said. My worries are not your concern, and I was wrong to try and them yours. "

Stepping forwards the buckskin stallion stood at her side nudging her neck with reassurance. [M'Queen, your sister understands what you have done. She doesn't hate you nor does she care that you have taken her place as the new queen. Clairvoyance indures that she has a sister who will carry out what she couldn't do.] Moving aside as he stepped in front of Aerandir skull lifted to the skies as he gazed upon the moon and stars for a long moment. Without looking upon her he continued to watch the stars sparkle like no other. [Your parents don't hate you. Nor do they wish for you to be a shadow to your sister. Jeremiah and Persaphine are both proud of who you came to be. Don't debat that you are like your cold-hearted cousin.] Gaze returned to her attention before he lowered his crown to nip upon a bite that was given to him moments ago. Dial rose to give her his full attention before he spoke once more. [Aerandir, you are smart, beautiful, strong, and a leader that everyone loves. Even young foals look up to you. You should be proud of who you are. Not by what people think or say.]
Words of truth were spoken as he moved from her front and stood a few inches from her side. Noticing a few equines stir from their sleep two eyes gazed upon the palomino queen with a warm smile upon his facade. Her words and actions didn't surprise him nor did he mind on her actions. Or how he should see her the way she is right now. [M'Lady, there is no need to apologize. It's best to let out your troubles to someone who will keep them safe. And not share them with others that need this kind of information. My brother deserved the throne before I, for he was a bit older than myself. I told my parents that I wish to travel else where and find someone to rule beside and protect those that wish to follow what I follow. They understood and let me leave as pleased.] Blackfoot said finally. A slight flick of his tail was given before settling to a halt as he kept his attention upon his queen. Though she acted and revealed things to him that she didn't wish to be said. But was already spoken. The Mustang and Arabian cross stallion sealed off the words she had spoken to him earlier and left them to be kept secret for there is no need to reveal them to others. Nor did he wish to hurt his queen by spreading things that are not to be said. Skull lifted as he stood in a royal stance that his father showed him back when he was a young foal. A warm smile appeared upon his facade as a light was shown within his eyes. Returning to his normal stance the light in his eyes never faded. For they stayed lit and warm for those to see. Audits flicked in the direction of Aerandir awaiting for her to speak.

Vapor rose from the ivorn and ebony stained nares of the gold brushed Frisian and Arabian cross mare. Her breathing was steady, the warm breath she released hitting the frosty atmosphere. Winter had set in, and it would be the cruelest to hit Amanecer yet. This might be due to the fact that the Queen of Darkness had discovered her control of ice, and was deciding to wreck havoc upon all. Or it might be that Nyteic was angry, and he was punishing his many children for their many sins. But whatever the reason for the near unbearable cold and the sheets of ice that covered most lands, it was clear to all creatures that weren't fortunate to sleep through this time of the year were gonna go through many hardships. Only the strong would survive, the weak would perish under the snow.
Aerandir barely felt the reassuring nudge on her neck that Blackfoot gave as she gazed out over the land beneath the knoll. Most of her herd was gathered there in a large group, their instincts to stick together for warmth and protection against both weather and predators had kicked in quickly. Even as the buckskin Arabian and Mustang stallion beside her was speaking, the light Queen had lost herself in her thoughts of the Lady Warrior she had already lost because of the weather. Najinitia had been a kind, strong, and loyal fighter, but she was with the Gods now. The death was a huge blow to the royal lady, but she didn't let it show, and just nodded absent-mindedly as her Knight kept on speaking. A small part of her felt bad for ignoring the handsome and kind stud, but there was so much more important things to think about than her courters at the moment.
It was not until a few moments of silence had passed that Aerandir finally pulled herself back to reality, realizing Blackfoot had stopped speaking. Her mocha gaze drifted over to his lithe deerskin frame not a yard away from herself. He seemed to be stretching, which really wasn't all that surprising, since the cold was cramping up her own muscles. For a second, the light Queen remembered she had revealed her deepest worries and thoughts to this stallion, but then she brushed that new worry away. This Knight was different from most stallions, he cared about her, and he wouldn't betray what she revealed to him. So, giving a polite smile to the caramel stag as he turned his gaze back upon her, Aerandir suddenly froze. There was a light in Blackfoot's eyes...But looking up into the heavens, the saffron mistress relaxed as she saw the full moon hanging overhead. The pearly beams were just reflecting off the moist surface of the Mustang and Arabian's occuli. It was a sign mirroring what her dream had told her...was it?
" Thank you for your kind words, Sir Blackfoot. But I'm afraid it has gotten late, and I've spent more time here than I had intended. You have been wonderful company, and I hope we can spend some more time together another time. For now, I must go speak with another Knight of mine about some business he needs to do in another light land for me. Good night. "
With tones level and calm, Aerandir tried her best to sound sincere and tie some kindness in. Though she really wasn't feeling either emotion, she did not want to discourage Blackfoot. But after the palomino mare was done speaking, she smiled politely and then gave a small dip of her cranium. And without waiting for a reply, she turned about and launched into an easy trot. Her muscular form pushed through the hard-packed snow, throwing the remains behind her while she circled around the knoll and headed to her herd.
