Everlasting Light

Clinging to the very edge of the royal lands, a single evergreen forest hangs on a jutting part of a rolling plain. The heavy trees make up part of the border of the Light territory. The trees here grow close together and their intertwining branches shut out much of the sunlight, turning the surrounding area into a deep gloom that lasts nearly the entire day, save for noon when the sun is at its highest peak. Navigation is difficult through this wooded expanse, but an old deer track leads to an enormous clearing in the forest. The clearing is a large meadow, cut with several small streams and covered with rows of flowers. The most beautiful thing about this meadow, however, is that because it is situated so far to the west and north, the sun shines constantly, even at night.
