[/font]TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
I am warning you for your own good, before it's too late. You can get out now, while you can, before you get sucked into this place known as hell on earth. I cannot describe to you how difficult it is to be here. The days are long and torturous. Survival skills are key. If you know what's good for you, you'll leave before you get here.
Within a year you are placed into this strange hierarchy. The first year you are a newbie. Everyone is wary of you. You have to be cautious, to keep on everyone's good side so you get somewhere good on the hierarchy. But after that year, you're stuck with what you have. Whether you're trash or a top dog, a respectable or a distinctive, it's rare to get a better placing after you're given one. You might even drop a few places if you're not careful.
It's not only that. As I said before, the days are long and boring. There's nothing to do except get drunk, daydream, or wander aimlessly. After a while, you know everyone and everyone knows you. There's no more meeting new people, except the 'fresh meat' that come every so often. We simply satisfy our cravings for excitement through rumors, gossip, and reputation. Rumors are like poison ivy; harmless, a bit annoying at first, but they grow and spread and expand and are twisted to the point you just want to crawl into a hole and die. You can't do anything without everyone knowing. It's hard to keep a secret here. Your reputation is important to watch. They say that repuations take ages to build and seconds to destroy. Here, reputations take only moments to build and years to destroy. Gossip is everywhere. Even the male population has it's fair share of gossip.
What is this place?
