So simply put, there are four possibilities that your characters have in choosing an alliance. The most straight forward three are Lights, Darks, and Neutrals (as in most horse RPGs). All three of these alliances accordingly distrust/hate one another, for obvious reasons. Individuals in each alliance look to their own gods for protect, help, and the like. For example, a Light horse would pray/seek assistance from Jeremiah and Peresaphine, a Dark from Layla and Oriel, and a Neutral from Vita and Nyetic. However, all horses in any of these three alliances recognize and in some way respect the gods of other alliances.
The Non-believers are a little trickier. This alliance is made entirely of horses who do not believe in any god(s) of any alliance. Because they are not driven to any acts by their gods (for instance war for Darks or perhaps kindess for Lights), Non-believers can range anywhere in personality; Light, Dark, and Neutral. Players must delicately handle their characters if they choose to become Non-believers. Most of this alliance is fueled by a hatred/dislike for Lights, Darks, and Neutrals equally because of their beliefs. Please note that because Non-believers do not believe in gods, they may not participate in any quests to receive powers.
